19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his first championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid season, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually separating with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also signifies he has secured twenty-one championships at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," said world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and recurring outbursts on court had caused observers to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair swapped breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet defended four early break points in a tight final set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net area, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
